PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Bucks County, Pennsylvania, is not only a pretty place with plenty of covered bridges and day trip opportunities – it’s also a great place to admire the fall foliage, according to a travel booking company.

According to Travel + Leisure magazine, Priceline said its search data shows Bucks County will be the most popular place for people making travel plans to view fall leaves in 2024.

“Bucks County is the ideal destination for a fall getaway, offering a variety of restaurants serving seasonal cuisine using ingredients fresh from the farm. Popular activities include hiking, scenic drives and exploring the area’s quaint towns, all against a backdrop of brilliant fall colors,” Visit Bucks County said in a press release.

“Bucks County offers a variety of ways to experience its famous fall foliage. From the charming shops of Peddler’s Village to the historic streets of New Hope, there is something for everyone,” added Visit Bucks County.

It is still early for the leaves to change color, but keep the first foliage forecast from the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources. Last year it came in early October.
