Nintendo has confirmed that the NES version of Tetris comes to Nintendo Switch Online subscription service this winter. Nintendo Switch Online gives subscribers access to a number of classic games from retro Nintendo consoles. The NES is well represented on Switch Online, and subscribers can play some of the absolute best games ever released for the platform.

New games are added to Nintendo Switch Online at a fairly regular interval, but with most of the biggest NES games already available on Switch Online, it’s understandable that the company has largely focused on other platforms in recent years. This winter, Nintendo Switch Online subscribers can expect at least one more NES title to be added to the service.

At the last Nintendo Direct presentation, it was announced that the NES version of Tetris coming to Nintendo Switch Online this winter. Nintendo has failed to provide a specific release date as to when Tetris will be available on the service, but more information on that should come to light later this year. Nintendo Switch Online subscribers who can’t wait to play Tetris Note that a version of the game is already available on the service.
