“Case against four youths for gang rape, POCSO Act, two arrested

The father of a student has filed a complaint against four youths under various sections, including gang rape and POCSO Act. The police have arrested two of the accused.

Two schoolgirls were abducted by four youths on motorcycles and taken to the jungles of Kubri where they were gang-raped. The father of one of the schoolgirls tried to catch the accused but they fled. The schoolgirl’s father has filed a complaint against the four youths under various sections including gang-rape and the POCSO Act. The police have arrested two of the accused.

A 13-year-old girl from the village, studying in 8th standard of a local intercollege, was on her way to school with her friend and classmate (16) on Saturday morning when they were abducted by four youths – Anas of Majhauwa Tog Shahpur and his friend Shadab of Pipra Adai and two others – who had come on two motorcycles. The four youths abducted the girls and took them to the jungles of Kubri where they committed gang rape. When the families of the girls came to know about the incident, they started searching for them. They found one girl near Chandradeep Ghat and the other in the jungles of Kubri. The girls told their families that Shadab and Anas along with their two friends had abducted them, taken them to the jungle and committed gang rape there.

SHO Sarvjeet Gupta said a case of gang rape has been registered and Shadab and Anas have been arrested. The other two accused are being sought.”
