The Balkans Rookie Fest 2024a major stop on the World Rookie Skateboard Tour, concluded with an unforgettable weekend of action and talent in Stara Zagora, Bulgaria. The event took place on August 24th and 25th in the city’s newly renovated skatepark and brought together some of the best young skateboarders from across the region to deliver an exciting and high-energy competition.
The Black Yeti returned to Stara Zagora and the city welcomed competitors and fans with open arms. The skatepark, which had already caused a stir at the 2022 edition, once again proved to be the perfect venue for top-class skateboarding. Riders pushed the limits of their abilities and showed an impressive range of tricks, speed and creativity that amazed both the judges and the audience.
From daring flips to smooth grinds, the talent on display was nothing short of spectacular. The park’s modern design allowed skaters to make the most of its features, and the skill on display at this year’s event clearly demonstrated why Balkans Rookie Fest is such an important stop on the tour.
The competition was characterised by strong performances in every category and the drivers fought for a place on the podium. In the end Dian Petkov took home the grand prize, impressing everyone with her flawless execution and innovative style. Congratulations to all participants for their incredible display of dedication and passion!
Stara Zagora, with its rich history and welcoming atmosphere, once again proved to be the ideal host for this world-class event. The weekend was not just about competition; it was also a celebration of the skateboarding community, with riders and fans coming together to share their love for the sport.
