Packers hiring for game days; job fair on Tuesday

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) – People looking to earn some extra money can attend a job fair at Lambeau Field on Tuesday.

The Green Bay Packers recruit for various positions on game day.

The job fair will be held in the Johnsonville Tailgate Village in the corner of the Lambeau Field parking lot.

You can apply online before coming to the job fair or do it on-site. In either case, you should be prepared for an interview.

To apply you must be at least 16 years old.

There are jobs in guest services, including gate greeters, wheelchair attendants, and elevator attendants. There are also security positions.

“We have some high school students, some college students, but mostly middle-aged people or a little older who have already established careers or are retired, just looking to spend time with others, earn money for entertainment, earn some extra cash, make extra money for the holidays, build a vacation fund, things like that,” said Keith Cronin, Guest Services Manager.

The guest services department alone employs 200 people at Lambeau Field on game days.

The manager believes that anyone interested in one of these roles should have good interpersonal skills and be comfortable dealing with people.

The shifts usually last 8 hours, but for most employees it doesn’t feel like work.

“It’s a very electric atmosphere here. It’s a lot of fun. People want to be here. They’re not forced to be here. Employees can proudly say, ‘You know what, I worked for the Green Bay Packers,’ even if it’s only part time. It’s a lot of fun,” Cronin said.

Ideally, candidates will be available to work every home game, including the playoffs, but if you have to miss one or two, that’s not a problem.
