The San Francisco Giants sent closer Camilo Doval to Triple-A Sacramento on Friday, a day after he made his fifth blown save of the season.

The Giants also sent catcher Jakson Reetz to Triple-A, while catcher Curt Casali was removed from the paternity list and right-hander Landen Roupp was recalled to reinforce the bullpen.

The Giants led the Washington Nationals 5-2 in the ninth inning on Thursday before Doval walked both Keibert Ruiz and Travis Blankenhorn. Luis Garcia Jr. hit a three-run home run with two outs to send the game into overtime, but San Francisco managed to pull out the win.

In his last eight appearances, Doval has 5 of 7 save chances with a 1-0 record and an ERA of 8.59. During that span, he has allowed six walks in 7⅓ innings.

Casali, 35, has a .197 batting average with two doubles and four RBIs in 21 games this season. In 11 major league seasons, he has a career batting average of .219 with 47 home runs and 158 RBIs for the Tampa Bay Rays (2014-17), Cincinnati Reds (2018-20, 2023), Giants (2021-22, 2024) and Seattle Mariners (2022).

Reetz, 28, had two hits in 14 at-bats in six games for the Giants and has three career hits in eight MLB games after a brief stint with the Washington Nationals in 2021.
