Xbox gamers are heartbroken over the canceled game they have been waiting for for years

I’m not crying, you’re crying

If you’ve been waiting for more Crash Bandicoot adventures, you’ll be deeply heartbroken by the news that a game was in the works but was abandoned in favor of supporting live service games.

According to a report by Liam Robertson, Toys for Bob was working on a fifth Crash Bandicoot game, but Activision canceled it after it felt that sales of the fourth game did not meet expectations.

We need more silliness and Crash Bandicoot in our lives

To make matters worse, funds and staff were diverted to supporting live service games instead.

If you want, I can make it worse. According to this report, the fifth game was supposed to be a crossover with Spyro the Dragon in an adventure where their worlds are threatened and the two heroes team up.

I know it would have been a great platform game and a huge hit with nostalgic gamers and fans of sweet adventures alike.

The ultimate team-up. Spyro’s appearance would have been like Falcon showing up to help Captain America against Thanos.

Instead, Thanos wins and erases the deep-felt nostalgia.

That idea no longer exists. Instead, we get regurgitated live service nonsense that’s just the latest thing before it’s dethroned by something else.

Am I bitter? You’re damn right. Not just because I grew up with Crash Bandicoot and Spyro, but because the gaming landscape needs more adorable 3D platformers.

Well, at least Call of Duty can have another War zone Season, eh?

And I don’t want to make you feel guilty if you like Call of Duty, but there should be room for both.

Whatever the case, let’s all make a lot of noise about it and hope that Activision reverses this terrible decision that stifles creativity and originality in the industry.
