2024: The Water is Life Festival returns to Petoskey on August 31

PETOSKEY – Celebrate water and its importance to the community at the Water is Life Festival in Petoskey on Saturday, August 31.

The festival will be held from noon to 9 p.m. on the Petoskey waterfront, 200 Wachtel Ave.

The festival’s website states: “The Water is Life Festival is an annual event that celebrates our connection to water and builds power through community so that we can live with water in a holistic way and protect it from those who would exploit or endanger it… Indigenous women are at the heart of the planning and implementation of the Water is Life Festival because Indigenous women are traditionally protectors of water. This is a deep-rooted spiritual and functional responsibility.”
