Do you agree with the Chicago Bulls’ list of top 10 dunks of all time?

The Chicago Bulls have been blessed with some top-notch dunkers throughout their franchise history. From Michael Jordan to Derrick Rose to Zach LaVine, it’s not easy to compile a list of the best slams ever achieved in a Bulls uniform. But that didn’t stop the organization from trying.

While we wait for the 2024-25 regular season, the Chicago Bulls have released a ranking of their 10 best dunks of all time. And the highlights are just as entertaining as you’d expect.

Check it out:

Did the Chicago Bulls do it right?

All in all, I think the Bulls put together a very solid roster. All the obvious candidates made it, including Rose putting Goran Dragic in the spotlight, Michael Jordan finally getting Dikembe Mutombo, and Joakim Noah embarrassing Paul Pierce. The No. 1 dunk on the list is also undeniable. Scottie Pippen’s one-handed throw-in over Ewing is not only one of the most disrespectful dunks in franchise history, but also one of the best in NBA history!

The only real criticism I think can be made is the placement of some iconic moments. As high-flying as Jordan looks on the dunk against the Charlotte Hornets, which ranks No. 2, I’d probably swap that with his baseline slam against the Knicks at No. 4. I also think Rose’s nasty finish over Joel Anthony (No. 10) belongs higher. This is probably my favorite Rose dunk ever. I think it does a great job of showing how agile and explosive he was for his size. Not only does he weave his way into the zone perfectly, but he also effortlessly adjusts in the air over the big man. In my opinion, this one belongs before LaVine’s 360 fastbreak jam.

Watching all of these memorable moments, I came up with a few honorable mentions that I’ll list below. Rose’s one-handed alley-oop finish against the Atlanta Hawks probably just missed the cut. I still can’t believe a point guard did that!

Lauri Markkanen’s poster of Nikola Vucevic has also been lost over time, but looks certainly remarkable today!

Derrick Jones Jr.’s career in Chicago may not be remembered for long, but his dunk against the Nuggets deserves to live on. The man jumped from right inside the free throw line DURING a game!

Last but not least, I have to give a shout out to Nate “The Great” Robinson. The one-hit wonder was known for his amazing leaping ability despite being only 5’9″ tall and gave Bulls fans an unforgettable game against Portland.
