Famous singer and actor Tyrese has been on the road promoting his new movie – and that included a trip to an HBCU football game. The Fast and Furious star found his way to Atlanta, Georgia on Saturday for the MEAC/SWAC Challenge football game between FAMU and Norfolk State University in Atlanta, Georgia.

Tyrese posted a video on Instagram of himself watching the Florida A&M Marching 100 march past him into Center Parc Stadium before the game. He sat in his car and admired the band as they passed by.

“They don’t even know I’m here. They’re the stars.” Tyrese told the camera, “They’re in college. They’re breaking generational curses in their families. They’re the stars.”

“FAMU – I’m so inspired right now.”

A few hours later, he found his way into the stadium and onto the field, waving to the over 22,000 fans in the stadium. As he walked to the sidelines, he was greeted by members of the Norfolk State Spartan Legion Band, who performed an impromptu performance with him before taking the field for halftime. Tyrese briefly joined in and filmed with his phone.

In addition to his new film “1992,” he is also releasing a new album. It’s called “Beautiful Pain.”
