If you thought the Foreigner Films fell off, Alien: Romulus will change all that and is sure to blow your mind and keep you glued to the cinema. Directed by the great Fede Alvarez, who also directed the 2013 film Evil Dead, this film completely flips the script of the classic franchise and presents us with a fresh new story with a great cast that offers Alien fans a thrilling journey with plenty of jump scares.

This new take on the classic films follows a crew who come from a high-tech planet that never sees the light of day, it’s literally night all the time. As a crew searches for a better place, they stumble upon an abandoned space and loot capsules that will take them to the planet that offers them a chance at a better life. What they think will be a simple mission to recover lost technology quickly turns into a merciless, heartbreaking nightmare when they encounter the legendary Xenomorphs.

Alvarez’s direction of this film is truly a masterpiece in mixing cyberpunk visuals with suspenseful horror. I like how he blended the contrast between sleek, futuristic technology and a grungy urban atmosphere that recalls the tone of the Sigourney Weaver-starring film. Foreigner Movies.
