Devin Booker’s first signature sneaker will soon receive its first Christmas colorway for Halloween.

The Nike Book 1 “Halloween” will release in late October with a number of design elements that fit the spooky season. Suede and cracked leather, both in black, make up the shoe’s upper and sit atop a sole that looks like a glow-in-the-dark unit. The Swoosh is finished with exaggerated white stitching that almost looks like bone, while orange is applied sparingly to the eyelets and tongue branding, adding an additional decorative stitch that looks like a zipper and features a torn bottom. A Halloween font is used for the “96” and “Chapter One” markings on the heel tab, and the shoe is finished with a split midsole that is black on the medial side.

Nike puts a lot of emphasis on Halloween every year, and its plans for 2024 have come to light via leaks. Following on from his 2023 Nike Ja 1 “Zombie,” Ja Morant’s yet-to-release Ja 2 will take on a “Nightmare” theme that includes claw marks, zombie hands, and piercing eye embroidery in a black, red, and yellow colorway. The Air Jordan 1 Low will nod to Michael Jordan’s “Black Cat” nickname with a shaggy look and glow-in-the-dark eyes. Kobe Bryant’s Kobe 5 Protro will also feature an “X-Ray” look with foot bones decorating the sneaker, and there are sure to be more surprises in store, as the holiday is still more than two months away.

The Nike Book 1 will be released on October 30th on Snkrs and select third-party retailers. It will be priced at $140.
