You’ve probably never seen Rupert Grint’s best TV show

After the publication of the final Harry Potter Film, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2The Golden Trio landed some great roles, although none of them were ever as big as those in the Wizarding World.

Although Daniel Radcliffe (Harry) needed some time to find his place, potterHe has since acted in bizarre films such as Swiss Army Man And Strange: The story of Al Yankovic and the popular TV show Miracle workerin addition to his work on stage. Emma Watson (Hermione) has become more picky since she hung up her Gryffindor robes, but she has still appeared in great films such as Little Women And The advantages of being a wallflowerAs for Rupert Grint (Ron), he has starred in a handful of shows that have gone under the radar. One called servantis completely underestimated and deserves more attention.

With an impressive 90% on Rotten Tomatoes, horror series servant received critical acclaim throughout its four seasons, although I don’t know many people who have watched the show, especially Potterheads. But I warn you: this is not a show for children. servant is rated TV-MA for violence, blood, sex, nudity, profanity, alcohol, drugs, and scary scenes. If you’re OK with that, then let me tell you why you should watch this show!

Created by Tony Basgallop with M. Night Shyamalan as showrunner. servant debuted in 2019. The series follows a married couple, Dorothy and Sean, living in Philadelphia. Dorothy is a television news reporter, while Sean is a professional stay-at-home chef. Although they seem to have a happy marriage on paper, it doesn’t take long for the truth to come out. servant begins with the couple hiring a nanny named Leanne to look after their baby Jericho. But this baby isn’t a living, breathing baby – it’s a doll. And while Leanne seems like a sheltered, innocent young woman, her troubled past begins to haunt her, and we’re left wondering how she ended up here.

Lauren Ambrose as Dorothy, Rupert Grint as Julian and Toby Kebbell as Sean in season 2 of “Servant”.

The cast of servant is very strong, including Lauren Ambrose (Six Feet Under) as Dorothy, Toby Kebbell (Black Mirror) as Sean, Nell Tiger Free (The first omen) as Leanne and Grint as Dorothy’s chaotic younger brother Julian. Although Dorothy does her best to put on the appearance of a happy, successful family, she can’t ignore her problems forever. Julian is there to bring her back down to earth, while also always being there to offer advice and support. Julian usually serves as comic relief throughout the series. servant. Although he is an alcoholic and has his own problems, he is known for his quick wit and sarcasm in every conversation and is truly hilarious.

Although Julian is initially suspicious of Leanne, they eventually develop a close bond as he tries to understand their deal. He is in love with her and terrified of her at the same time. Julian also has a close relationship with Sean, especially when it comes to confronting Dorothy about a traumatic event in her life that she has tried to forget. servant is everything you want from a horror show – twisted mysteries, unpredictable moments, scares and even humor. We also get some great character development that makes you root for everyone even when they’re acting horribly. Julian is an absolute highlight of the show, which might not be the case if Grint wasn’t playing him.

During its four seasons servant always feels fresh and surprising. If you are a fan of the Harry Potter If you know the franchise and are familiar with the horror genre, I would definitely recommend checking out the series. Not only is Grint great in it, but it’s just a great show overall. Check out the season one trailer below to get a closer look at what to expect:
