Dozens of Knox County restaurants participate in Dine Out for Education

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – Dozens of restaurants in Knox County are participating in the annual Dine Out for Education on Tuesday.

Restaurants participating in the campaign, a joint initiative of Knox County Schools and the Partners in Education Foundation, will donate 10% of their pre-tax proceeds on Tuesday, August 27.

Proceeds help fund Partners in Education Foundation projects that allow teachers and school leaders to apply for funding for needs often outside their budgets, including technology, professional development and playground equipment. A list of needs for each school can be found here.

In the past, the campaign has raised nearly $20,000 from about 45 participating restaurants.
