The anticipation for the new Epic Universe park at Universal Orlando is growing and we know you want to know when it opens?!
After all, this will be Universal Orlando’s third theme park and it will bring a total of five new themed lands and three new hotels to the resort.
Before you get too excited about Epic Universe, we need to bring you back down to earth.
Yes, we have to temper our excitement about Epic Universe a little because we have some concerns about the new park and its opening, so let’s take a look at the schedule.
Epic Universe Timeline
All we know at the moment is that Epic Universe will open in 2025.
But recently a hint was released in the form of a vacation offer for Universal Orlando. The offer is valid for travel between November 7, 2024 and December 19, 2024 and January 5, 2025 and April 10, 2025. So it’s likely that Universal will no longer need a offer once Epic Universe opens. Therefore, Epic Universe will likely open sometime after April 10, 2025.
What dates are known? Well, two Epic Universe hotels will open before the new park. Universal Stella Nova Resort is scheduled to open on January 21, 2025, while Universal Terra Nova Resort is scheduled to open on February 25. The hotel located in the park, the Universal Grand Helios Hotel, is set to open in 2025 (we expect it to open closer to the opening of Epic Universe).
The new countries at Epic Universe
As we prepare for the grand opening, let’s take a look at all five lands the park will include, including Celestial Park, How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk, Super Nintendo World, Dark Universe and The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic.
Heavenly Park
Have you heard of Celestial Park?! Universal shares, “Once guests enter this imaginative world, they embark on a journey of discovery, thrills and excitement as they wander through lush, living gardens by shimmering waters, surrounded by stunning architecture inspired by astronomical and mythological elements.”
This is also the “gateway” to the four other worlds of the park!
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic
Get ready to discover a “different era” of the wizarding world in this brand new land that combines the wizarding Paris of the 1920s with Fantastic Beasts together with the iconic British Ministry of Magic of Harry Potter.
Dark Universe
Experience this spooky land as you witness Dr. Victoria Frankenstein’s experiments. This shadowy place is “where monsters roam in a world of myth and mystery.”
How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk
Are you ready to soar with dragons in this colorful world on the island of Berk? Based on the How to train your dragon Franchise you will experience Viking adventures in this new land.
Super Nintendo World
Enter Super Nintendo World through an iconic green pipe and discover a new way to play alongside Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach and Donkey Kong.
