Jacksonville, Florida. – The Jacksonville softball team has recognized 14 members of its program with the Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete Award for the 2023-2024 academic year. This recognition reflects the hard work, dedication and academic achievements of the student-athletes both on the field and in the classroom.
The Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete Award is given to student-athletes who achieve a grade point average of 3.5 or better on a 4.0 scale. This award underscores the commitment to academic success that Jacksonville University views as a critical component of its athletic programs.
The honors come shortly after Jacksonville’s athletic department achieved its best-ever calendar-year grade point average, a 3.48 GPA. Nine programs finished with a 3.50 GPA or higher, and 15 achieved at least a 3.30 GPA. In addition, 82% of JU’s student-athletes graduated with a 3.0 or higher.
The Jacksonville softball team finished the 2024–25 academic year with an impressive 3.50 grade point average.
