Kelly Ripa is not a normal mom; she’s a cool mom.
In an Instagram post on Thursday, August 22, Ripa and Mark Consuelos‘ Daughter, Lola Consuelosshared snaps from a sunny day, including a cheeky shot of her sunbathing topless while lying on her stomach on a deckchair.
“Is that reticent?” the 23-year-old captioned the post, referring to the viral term popularized by TikTokers Jools Lebron.
In a fitting response, Ripa, 53, quickly quipped: “It’s very mindful.”
In the second photo of the post, Lola wore an olive green bikini with a blue and white beach towel under her arms. She accessorized with a colorful bandana covering her dark hair, dangling silver and gold earrings, and sunglasses.
The Live with Kelly and Mark The co-hosts have supported their daughter over the years. In 2023, Lola graduated from New York University, and the couple, who also have sons, Michael27, and Joaquin21 – created separate posts with the same montage featuring different clips of the graduate.
In September 2021, Ripa said Entertainment tonight about the experience of watching her children grow up: “Unfortunately, we blinked, and now they are adults.”
“I think that’s the worst part: We didn’t slow down in time to appreciate that side of them when they were little. We were so busy protecting them and making sure they grew up to be good people and got things done on time.”
Lola, who studied music and production at NYU, released her debut single, “Paranoia Silverlining,” in August 2022. (She used the dreamy track as audio for her recent summer post.) Less than a year later, in July 2023, Lola released her second single, “Divine Timing.”
She talked about her second single PEOPLE in 2023: “This song is, I would say, soulful, maybe a little bit alternative. I think my sound can generally be described that way, but I’m also constantly experimenting with a lot of different genres, so it’s kind of all over the place. I have a lot of songs that I haven’t released yet that are a little more jazzy, a little more house.”
“Be a fan of yourself and support yourself – support your sound. If you like listening to a certain type of song or sound, go for it. A lot of my inspiration also comes from music I’ve heard before – not in the sense that I copy it, but sounds that might evoke the same feeling,” she added.
