The next Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase and the Indie World Showcase will be combined into one package on Tuesday. Starting at 7 a.m. Pacific Time, there will be a 40-minute livestream showing both presentations back to back. Nintendo has confirmed that unfortunately there will be no information about the Switch’s successor during this livestream.

What could be shown during the Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase?

There are many games coming to the Nintendo Switch this holiday season, and more details could be revealed during the event. The remaster of the Wii classic Epic Mickey: Rebrushed will likely be shown off, as it’s coming soon on September 24th. Perhaps a demo could be released for the Disney title, as it was present during Gamescom. Although it’s a partner showcase, there’s a possibility of some Nintendo-related announcements surrounding The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom and the next Mario Party game.

We could also get some news on Level 5, such as a western release of Yokai Watch 4 or Professor Layton and the New World of Steam, which is planned for sometime next year. A new Ni no Kuni would be fantastic, though, as Level 5 hasn’t returned to the narrative-focused JRPG genre in a while.

Will Hollow Knight: Silksong be released?

However, many indie fans are likely hoping for an appearance from Team Cherry for Hollow Knight: Silksong. It’s been over two years since a new trailer for the action-platformer debuted. It was last shown during an Xbox Showcase in 2022, and Microsoft claimed that everything in the show would come out within a year. That obviously wasn’t true. Additionally, Gamescom Night Live was skipped. Silkong was recently reviewed in Korea (via PCGamesN) and Australia, which usually shows that a game is close to completion. The idea of finally seeing a release date for Hollow Knight: Silksong is a boon for any fan of the original game, as it’s been years since it was announced.

Another mysterious reveal is the lack of a Nintendo Switch port for Genshin Impact. This could surface during the Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase and cause a big stir. It was recently announced for the launch of Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S in November. Perhaps MiHoYo could pull a double whammy and show the adventures of Aether and Lumine on Nintendo’s hybrid device. The last we’ve heard about the Genshin Impact Nintendo Switch port is that it’s still in development. It was first announced during a Nintendo Direct in 2020, and while it can run on Android and iOS devices, we haven’t seen a Switch version yet.
