MANKATO, Minn. (KEYC) – Due to above-average rainfall this summer, the County Road 82 (Victory Drive) reconstruction project has experienced delays and the project remains closed, according to Blue Earth County.

Instead of a reopening at the end of August, the currently expected reopening date is mid-September.

There is still a lot of work ahead for contractors, including completing concrete pavements, curbs and medians, pedestrian ramps, paving bituminous road access roads, lighting and traffic signalling systems, laying turf and road markings for traffic signs.

Detour routes will remain in place to accommodate motorists. Businesses along this section of Victory Drive will remain accessible via Hoffman Road from the east or via Marwood Drive from Main Street.

• Through traffic on County Road 82 (Victory Drive) will be detoured via County Road 60 (Stadium Road), MN Hwy. 22 and Madison Avenue.
• Through traffic on Hoffman Road will be diverted via Hosanna Drive, Main Street and Bruels Street.
