Megyn Kelly: YouTube viewers of my SiriusXM show “definitely read more” from conversations by watching me

Megyn Kelly has watched her SiriusXM show gain a massive digital presence on YouTube, and she thinks she knows why.

Speaking to Semafor’s Max Tani about the success of her show on YouTube – which had more views than CBS News and NBC News last month – the former Fox News host said her audience’s familiarity with her commentary means more people are consuming her content that way.

“People are used to getting their news from me on camera, so it probably feels familiar to them,” Kelly said.

She further noted that those who only listen on SiriusXM or her podcast are missing out because of the boisterous way she delivers her monologues and opinions.

“I’m also half Italian and half Irish, so if you decide to watch the show, you’ll definitely pick up on the hand gestures and facial expressions that you might not always notice just listening,” she added. “With the news we’re getting these days, sometimes an eye roll, a slap on the forehead or a pen throw is absolutely necessary.”

According to Tani, The Megyn Kelly Show recorded 116.8 million views on YouTube in July, surpassing the aforementioned NBC News and CBS News, as well as other organizations such as CNBC, BBC News and Sky News.
