Swerve Strickland copes with defeat with epic crowd surfing celebration at AEW All In

Swerve Strickland went from being a mid-level attraction to being AEW’s top star. His rise was cemented on AEW Dynasty after he defeated Samoa Joe to become the new AEW World Champion.

The owner of Swerve’s House was on a tremendous wave of success with Prince Nana by his side, defeating top challengers for months in his quest to become a credible world champion.

However, Swerve Strickland’s impressive reign finally came to an end at the AEW All-In 2024 event. He fought Bryan Danielson in a Title vs. Career Match in front of over 50,000 fans at Wembley Stadium in London.

Strickland suffered a loss to The American Dragon, who took him down after a hard-fought battle and forced him to submit to the Lebell Hold, becoming the new AEW World Champion. Despite this big loss, in a video posted to his X, Swerve Strickland is seen in a celebratory mood, crowd surfing at a party venue and wondering who came out of the fight as the real loser.

“Who lost??”

It seemed like Swerve Strickland didn’t mind losing the AEW World Championship. This could mean that he already has plans to win it back and end Bryan Danielson’s reign sooner rather than later. So we’ll have to wait and see because this storyline may not have come to an end yet.
