Employees were encouraged to invite their families to tours of the California Men’s Colony East Facility, which also featured a bouncy castle, axe throwing and demonstrations from the facility’s fire station, which used real fire hoses to help families put out fake flames.

The prison’s Crisis Intervention Team provided a night vision demonstration. Dogs were a big hit, and families enjoyed demonstrations by the New Life K-9s and Investigative Services Unit. There were also various games and contests, a barbecue, popcorn and ice cream cones.

“This great event was enjoyed by all the families,” said the organizers. “Thank you to everyone who contributed.”
