Aces star A’ja Wilson’s epic buzzer beater makes LeBron James think of Chappelle’s Show

The Las Vegas Aces won a clear 77:75 away victory against the Chicago Sky and A’ja Wilson on Sunday hit a buzzer beater to give their team the victory.

It was an incredible play by A’ja Wilson on a throw-in with 1.1 seconds left. She threw quickly and hit the ball against the railing, giving the Aces the win. The shot drew a reaction from Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James.

“GAME BLOUSES!!!!! @_ajawilson22 😤💪🏽🫡” posted LeBron James on X, formerly known as Twitter.

After the game, Wilson responded to James’ post referring to Chapelle’s show.

Wilson played brilliantly in the Aces’ win, scoring 20 points, grabbing 18 rebounds and blocking three shots. Here is a different perspective from Wilson’s game-winning shot.

This is a crucial game for both teams as the Aces are fighting for a good playoff spot while the Sky are on the playoff bubble and can use every win they can get. As the regular season draws to a close, Las Vegas is getting closer and closer to a playoff spot while Chicago will likely fight until the final day.

While the Aces had three other players in double figures in scoring in Megan Gustafson, Chelsea Gray and Kelsey Plum, Wilson was the one who shone the brightest. Her 18 rebound tally is huge, especially when you’re going up against an impressive young rebounder like Angel Reese, who had 22 rebounds herself. It will certainly be exciting to see Wilson and Angel Reese go head to head in the future.

This is not to ignore Kamilla Cardoso, who also grabbed 12 rebounds. The duo of Reese and Kamilla Cardoso could put the Sky higher up the table in the future. At the moment, the Sky are 11-18, half a game ahead of the Atlanta Dream (10-18) for the eighth and final playoff spot.

The Aces are in fifth place after improving to 18-11 following the win over Chicago. They are half a game behind the Seattle Storm and 2.5 games ahead of the Phoenix Mercury. Las Vegas may not be at the level of the last two years, but the two-time defending champions are not to be overlooked in the playoffs.
