Do you know the saying that the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree? Time of longing‘ Stacy Haiduk (Kristen) and her daughter Sophia Tatum not only look alike, they also work in the same field and now the mother-daughter duo are working together in a new short film. The soap actress and her mini-me (who also starred in Time of longing some time ago) recently met with Fangoria to talk about the vampire horror comedy Brand new Cadillacbased on the short film of the same name.

So what is their project about? Haiduk and Tatum, whose father is actor Bradford Tatum, star in and direct the film. The film promises to explore the depths of a “mother-daughter relationship with life and death in the world of vampires.”

“This is an exciting time for women in film and we really wanted to capture a story that focused on that,” Haiduk told the outlet. “Being able to work with my daughter and vice versa is something that is very dear to our hearts. We’re excited to bring this unique story to audiences everywhere.”

Last month, Tatum posted some behind-the-scenes videos and photos of them surviving “100-degree heat, dust devil tornadoes, and blood… lots of blood.”

And before that, her proud mom announced “super excited” that Brand new Cadillac would premiere in October at this year’s Screamfest Horror Film Festival in Los Angeles.
