Akshay Kumar’s ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ will NOT be shelved, says director Ahmed Khan

Akshay Kumarwith several stars Welcome to the jungle is on schedule, the makers clarified after a rumor about the delay started doing rounds on social media yesterday. As the rumors gained momentum, the director of the film said, Ahmed Khan made a statement.

In the official statement, Ahmed clarified that rumors about Welcome to the jungle are being put on hold are unfounded. The next shooting date for the film is October. According to sources close to the comedy, 70% of the filming has been completed.

Ahmed said: “There is no truth to these rumours. The film is running as planned and we will start the next leg of our international marathon programme from October. My technical team has already left for the first reconnaissance.”

Welcome to the jungle faced numerous obstacles during the production phase. A few days into the shoot, Shreyas Talpade suffered a cardiac arrest and the shooting was reportedly halted until he recovered. Later, Sanjay Dutt dropped out of the film as he reportedly felt that “the Welcome to the jungle The shooting was unplanned, there were too many changes in the script, which messed up his shooting schedule.”

Welcome to the jungle was originally scheduled to be released on December 20, 2025. A new release date has yet to be announced.
