Akshay Kumar’s “Sky Force” also postponed, no clash with Joaquin Phoenix’s “Joker 2”?

It looks like Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker 2 will be released in India alone. Although Akshay Kumar’s Sky Force was supposed to release on the said date, that may not happen. After Welcome to the Jungle, Akshay’s Sky Force 2 is also likely to be delayed. Here’s what we know about the Akshay Kumar starrer debacle…

Akshay Kumar’s Sky Force has been postponed, confirms Rahul Raut. While announcing the news, he also revealed a tentative new release date for the film. It is now most likely to release in January 2025.

Starring Sara Ali Khan opposite Akshay Kumar, the film would have been Veer Pahariya’s debut in Bollywood. Unfortunately, we may have to wait a lot longer for that to actually happen.

Will Joker 2 be a solo release in India?

So far, Sky Force was the only Bollywood film to be released on Gandhi Jayanti. Since this has been postponed, Joaquin Phoenix can score points at the Gandhi Jayanti box office alone, at least for now. The film will be released on October 4.

The film, titled Joker: Folie a Deux, also stars Lady Gaga in the female lead role, who plays the role of Joker’s lover Harley Quinn. The story, inspired by DC Comics, is set, as you might guess, this time in Arkham Asylum.

“Welcome To The Jungle” also delayed?

It has been in the news for a long time and the latest reports also suggest that the release of Welcome To The Jungle will indeed be delayed. This happened after Jio Studios dropped out as the producer of the film. Although a source has confirmed this as the reason why promotional materials are no longer available on the internet, the makers are yet to give an official statement regarding the delay.

Besides Akshay Kumar, the film also stars Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon, Suniel Shetty, Anil Kapoor, Disha Patani, Jacqueline Fernandez, Shreyas Talpade, Krushna Abhishek and Paresh Rawal in important roles. The film, directed by Ahmed Khan, was originally scheduled to release on December 20.
