Key findings

  • A Fallout 4 player recently attempted to play the game with a single action figure-sized survivor.
  • They managed to shrink their character using the Cheat Terminal mod, which is available for the PC and Xbox versions of the game.

One Fallout4 Players recently decided to challenge themselves by attempting to play through the game with a character the size of an action figure. They did so with the help of a single mod available for both PC and select console versions of Fallout4.

As with all modern RPGs from Bethesda, the fourth main part of the Stand out The series can be approached in many different ways. This immense level of freedom, combined with the game’s inherent modability, has already inspired countless Fallout4 Challenge runs, some more painful than others.

A brand new mod for Fallout 4 adds a long-requested feature that many fans of Bethesda’s 2015 role-playing game have wanted for years.

Fallout 4 player attempts difficult action figure run

A particularly challenging example of such a run was recently attempted by Reddit user TheRedneckGamer, who decided to try Fallout4 as an action figure. To do this, they shrunk their character to the approximate size of Dogmeat’s snout, as seen in the screenshot they recently shared on the r/Fallout subreddit. This was achieved using the Cheat Terminal mod, which includes a setting that allows players to adjust the size of their Sole Survivor. Developed by modders NexusAU and gir489, the add-on is available through the Creation Club for both the PC and Xbox versions of Fallout4. By August 2024, it had been downloaded over 20 million times across all platforms.

Playing the game in this tiny version proved to be quite a challenge. TheRedneckGamer revealed that just walking from Diamond City to Fallout4It took them a full hour to reach Fort Hagen in the west. The fight is also more difficult when the sole survivor is the size of an action figure. While shrinking the protagonist did not affect his stats or damage, the player said that in this tiny form he was mainly forced to attack the opponent’s feet.

TheRedneckGamer originally shared this challenge run attempt on August 19. The player hasn’t posted any updates since then, so it’s unclear if his action figure-sized Sole Survivor has made any further progress in his quest to conquer the post-apocalyptic Commonwealth.

Since the Cheat Terminal Mod effectively serves as a convenient user interface for the game’s built-in console, it remained from the recently released Fallout4 Next-Gen Update. The next-gen patch released in late April 2024 broke a variety of popular mods, some of which still haven’t been fixed four months later. Its release also delayed the debut of the highly anticipated Fallout: London Mod that was finally released in late July 2024, but still doesn’t work with the next-gen update, so PC players have to downgrade their version of the game.
