Josie Gibson has made “a lot of videos” for her son to watch while she’s in the I’m a Celebrity: Get Me Out of Here! camp.

The ‘This Morning’ presenter’s five-year-old baby son Reggie will stay with the family while she travels Down Under for the show and the 38-year-old star – who split from father Terry four months after the birth of her son – has done everything she can to prepare her child for the separation.

She told The Sun newspaper: “I made a lot of videos for him before I left and I have explained everything I could to him since I signed up.

“So every morning when we wake up he says, ‘Mummy, are we going to Australia now?’ And I say, ‘Not yet, Reg,’ and he says, ‘When are we going to the jungle?’

“So it wasn’t a shock to him, he understood it.”

Reggie will be traveling to Australia halfway through the series and Josie is excited for him to see the country.

She added: “When he comes here he will visit wildlife sanctuaries and learn all about Australia.

“You’ll cuddle koalas and get into the jungle with ITV’s brilliant family and friends team.

“There will be lots of cuddles when I get out and ultimately it will make Reg and I better and everything will be OK.

“He’ll be experiencing Australia while I’ll be stuffing myself with mealworms.”

The former “Big Brother” candidate is grateful to her son for giving her self-confidence.

She said: “I didn’t come into my own until I had Reg. I found my confidence, I had a lot more respect for myself after I had Reg and I really found myself as a woman. He really gave me the confidence I always wanted.”

“Many people think life is over when you have a baby, but mine has only just begun.

“I think if someone had told me not so long ago that I would be presenting ‘This Morning’ on ‘I’ma Celebrity’, I would not have believed it, ever.

“And that just goes to show, doesn’t it? Never think that things are beyond your reach.”
