19 Complete crisis intervention training in Cayuga County – Finger Lakes Daily News

19 members of the local police and emergency services recently completed training in crisis intervention.

The course is a collaboration between the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office and the Cayuga County Mental Health Department and trains first responders on how to help those with mental illness in crisis situations. The course also helps build partnerships between law enforcement, health care providers and social services to guide people in crisis to appropriate treatment.
