Aristocrats are among the richest people in Britain, and at the top of the list of this type of people is 28-year-old Hugh Grosvenor, the 7th Duke of Westminster, according to the Sunday Times Rich List.

However, the Queen is far behind in the ranking of the richest people in Britain and is only 17th on the aristocratic list.

Every year, the Sunday Times identifies Britain’s richest people, publishing dozens of lists sorted by verifiable wealth, including land, property, other assets such as art and company shares. The calculations do not take into account the amount sitting in people’s bank accounts. One of the lists ranks Britain’s richest aristocrats – a total of 38 people and their families.

Hugh Grosvenor is worth £10.1 billion ($13.1 billion) after inheriting his family’s vast property portfolio following the death of his father in 2016. The Grosvenor family’s property portfolio includes some of the UK’s wealthiest and most desirable locations. The 300 acres of land they own include those in Mayfair and Belgravia in London, as well as investments in 60 cities worldwide.

Thanks to his wealth, Grosvenor is not only at the top of the richest aristocrats, but is also the richest person in Britain aged 30 and under. He is also the 14th richest person in Britain.

In the table of the richest aristocrats, the Queen only ranks 17th and, with a fortune of £370 million, is the 356th richest person in Britain, together with logistics magnate Steve Parkin.

Although her net worth remained the same as last year, she slipped from shared 344th place in the ranking.
