ITV bosses collect ideas for a TV show with Sam Thompson and Tony Bellew

ITV bosses are reportedly planning to offer Sam Thompson and Tony Bellew their own show as part of their I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! bromance.

The two developed a close friendship through the ITV show. The friendship began with the “Made in Chelsea” star desperately wanting to meet his hero Tony.

And now ITV producers are said to be “collecting ideas for the couple,” and a travel show may also be planned.

A source told The Sun newspaper: “Unusual friendships and bromances are always brewing in the jungle, but we have never seen one like Sam and Tony’s.”

“What started as an annoyance is now clearly turning into something more brotherly and making for great television.

“The executives are brainstorming, but they’re more interested in watching something along the lines of a travel show.”

Sam, 31, is currently the bookies’ favourite to be crowned King of the Jungle, with 40-year-old Tony the second favourite to take the title.

Tony’s wife, Rachael Bellew, appeared on Good Morning Britain on Tuesday (05.12.23) and admitted that there will be a chair with Sam’s name on it in the Bellew house for Christmas if he wants it.

She said: “He’s just another child. There’s a chair for him at the Christmas table. The more the merrier.”

If the friends get their own jungle spin-off show, it wouldn’t be the first time that ITV has produced such a show based on a camp friendship.

Radio 1 DJ Jordan North and former Coronation Street DJ Beverley Callard became good friends during their time on the 20th series of I’m a Celebrity. The series took place at Gwrych Castle in Abergele, Wales, as Australia was closed to participation due to travel restrictions caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

Because of their friendship, Jordan and Beverley landed a role in the travel series “Destination Wedding.”
