Megan Fox reportedly found text messages on her fiancé Machine Gun Kelly’s cell phone that convinced her he was cheating on her.
The 36-year-old “Jennifer’s Body” star sparked speculation last week that she had split from the 32-year-old “Wild Boy” rapper by deleting all photos of him from her Instagram feed and writing that she could “taste the dishonesty.” However, the pair are reportedly doing everything they can to save their relationship and have been spotted attending couples therapy.
A source told Page Six on Saturday (18.02.23) that their argument stemmed from Megan finding messages on MGK’s phone that made her believe he was having an affair.
The insider also stressed that the couple are apart while they try to work through their problems. Megan wants to see “where they are” and “see what they can salvage.”
They also stated that MGK – real name Colson Baker – was interested in “reconciling” with the actress.
Although a Page Six insider said the couple are separated while they work on their relationship, a source told People over the weekend that the couple “have not broken up” while they “work through their issues.”
A source also told People earlier this week that Megan took her engagement ring from MGK while they try to work things out.
The insider added: “They haven’t officially called off the engagement, but Megan has taken off her ring.
“They have had problems in the past, but this time the situation seems quite serious.”
Megan, who got engaged to MGK in January 2022 after the couple went public with their relationship in 2020, posted pictures of herself in a mirror taken by a man next to her last week, writing: “You can taste the dishonesty, it’s all over your breath.”
It was a quote from Beyoncé’s song “Pray You Catch Me” about the infidelity of the singer’s husband Jay-Z – which sparked a flood of speculation from her fans that she was referring to MGK’s infidelity.
Some of her followers speculated that MGK had cheated on Megan with his band’s guitarist, Sophie Lloyd, but the musician has since called the allegations “disrespectful.”
Her management told Page Six on Wednesday (15.02.23): “Sophie Lloyd is a professional, accomplished musician who was needlessly dragged into the media due to baseless allegations on social media.
“Any suggestion that she ever behaved unprofessionally or ended her relationship is false. It is disrespectful to her as an artist and poor journalism and social commentary to report otherwise.”
Megan, who has sons Noah (10), Bodhi (9) and Journey (6) with her ex-husband, actor Brian Austin Green (49), and whom she divorced in 2021 after a 10-year relationship, was seen leaving a couples counseling office with MGK on Valentine’s Day.
