Armed robbery suspects pursued by Fulton police to Syracuse

Three men are under arrest after allegedly attempting a robbery in Oswego that led to a chase that began in Fulton and ended in Syracuse.

According to Oswego police, 26-year-old Devin Johnson of Granby, 21-year-old Zaquest Robinson of Syracuse and 23-year-old Mykial-Anthony O DeJesus of Utica arrived at an east Oswego residence with handguns and threatened several residents at gunpoint. Police said the victims gave them money and marijuana and the trio also stole one of their cars. This incident was reported just after midnight Friday.

“Shortly later” that morning, Oswego police said their counterparts in the city of Fulton observed one of the vehicles allegedly involved in the robbery. Fulton police conducted a traffic stop and noticed what appeared to be a handgun in the car. At that point, police said, the driver took off and initiated a chase that ended in the city of Syracuse. Oswego police said officers received assistance from the New York State Police and the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office.

Following this stop, two men were arrested. On Friday at approximately 12:30 p.m., Oswego police found the stolen vehicle in the Champlain Commons condominium in Oswego. At 5:34 p.m., the third male suspect was arrested.

Johnson, Robinson and O DeJesus are all charged with robbery, burglary, illegal use of a firearm, grand larceny and menacing. All three are currently in the Oswego County Jail; Robinson was not offered bail, while Johnson was released on $75,000/$150,000 bail and DeJesus was released on $10,000/$20,000 bail.
