Eddie Hearn has experience dealing with “50 positive” cases and speculates on the real reason why Ryan Garcia had banned substances in his system during the fight

Nothing shocked fans more than the controversy surrounding Ryan Garcia Recently, a positive test for Ostarine was carried out. It was a debacle. Fans and experts speculated about the reasons for it. Eddie Hearnwho had witnessed the events up close as Devin Haney’s promoter, had a different opinion.

Garcia, 26, took over Devin Haney but had a difficult fight week leading up to the fight. While he garnered attention with his antics on social media, he also had to pay for missing weight. His one moment of glory and relief after defeating the 25-year-old Haney also didn’t last long as he returned positive test samples. So when the 45-year-old Hearn sat down with the undefeated veteran boxer Andre Ward In his show “All the Smoke Fight” he lifted the veil on what he believes happened.

The British promoter pointed to his experience of almost 50 positive doping tests in his promoting career, but nothing has baffled him as much as the case of “KingRy”. He admitted: “Listen, I’ve had 50 positive doping tests for different fighters in my promotional career. I know how it goes. But this one was easy (mouth dropped), you know.” The Matchroom Boxing star pointed out that samples taken the night before and on the night of the fight showed evidence of Ostarine. And the reason? To make the weight for the fight.

“So you know categorically that it was in his system during the fight. Not that it went down 12 weeks ago… And you know it was in him during the fight. If I’m being honest and having been through all these 50 different cases, I would believe it was related to the weight cut.” Hearn explained it to Andre Ward.

The Dagenham native then refuted 24-1-year-old Garcia’s claims that it was due to contamination in nutritional supplements. For him, losing weight and stepping on the scales was the last resort. Fans still remember how super lightweight boxer Haney had to pay $1.5 million for not reaching his weight.

Despite the controversy surrounding Garcia’s abuse of performance-enhancing substances, there are calls for a rematch. And the Victorville native remains confident of delivering a similar performance.

Ryan Garcia is ready to repeat what he did to Devin Haney

Garcia took to his social media and revealed what he thought would happen in their rematch, saying: “I would smack him twice on the butt. I beat him effortlessly.” He also expressed his desire to be tested regularly before the fight to eliminate any doubts about taking performance-enhancing drugs. He continued: “You could do a blood test on me every week. Every day. You could have a camera in my training camp. You could know everything. But this man will not beat me.”
