Two former Hoosiers were released by the Cincinnati Bengals on Friday.
Non-drafted free agents Aaron Casey and Andre Carter were both released, the NFL franchise reported.
Many thought Casey had a chance to make the Bengals, but now he will try to make the practice squad.
Carter originally signed with Jacksonville after the draft in April. He was released by that club and later moved to the Bengals for a short time.
Earlier this week, the New York Giants released former IU defensive end Ryder Anderson. He was released from waivers and placed on the injured list (hamstring).
Speaking of Giants: The participation of former Hoosier Micah McFadden in the season opening game is questionable due to a groin injury.
The roster changes came as NFL teams began trimming their rosters to 53 players by Monday.
