Slipknot DJ and keyboardist Sid Wilson told his fans in an Instagram video posted on Friday that he suffered an “explosion to the face” that left him with “severe burns to his face and arms.”

Wilson reassured viewers, “I’m OK. I’m OK,” before revealing that he had been “out on the farm working” and had tried to start a campfire. The fire exploded, Wilson explained, “so you don’t mess with burn piles.”

Kelly Osbourne, his girlfriend and mother of their one-year-old son Sidney, followed up on Friday with another video from the hospital, saying: “He literally set himself on fire – everything exploded.”

Wilson’s cheeks, lips and face had visible burns. His eyebrows also appeared to be partially singed as he shook his phone back and forth.

“I’m scorched all over,” he said into the camera. “It still burns really badly.”

Parts of Wilson’s arms and face were visibly bright pink from the burns.

However, Wilson added that X-rays showed he “did not inhale flames,” which could have caused serious lung damage.

“I’ll be fine, guys. I don’t care what it costs, see you on tour,” the keyboardist added. “I’m apparently allergic to fire,” he chuckled.

In the comments, fans sent their congratulations.

“We are all thinking of you Sid! Stay strong,” wrote one.

Later that evening, Wilson posted another video while being transported to another hospital, again against the reassurance of his fans: “I’m OK… I’m a brave guy, a brave guy, not quite, but I’m holding up pretty well.”

“My lips are pretty damaged. This is cheap Botox,” he added.
