“I was really blown away that we were going to have the world between worlds. It was actually one of the few things we filmed that we didn’t really get to see, we didn’t shoot that on volume, so to watch it myself afterwards and see how they pulled it out of the animation… That was one of the coolest things.”

I just thought that was so brilliant because you got to see Anakin in a different guise at that time, and Ahsoka too, and for fans of the animation it was so cool to see that highlighted, and also amazing how young she was. It was just really beautiful to see that whole arc expressed.”

AhsokaThe scenes in “World Between Worlds” were really effective in establishing the foundation for the emotional development and growth that Ahsoka went through in the series. In just a few minutes, the audience was shown that Ahsoka was Anakin’s Padawan in the Clone Wars, that Ahsoka still felt the trauma of being a child during that great war, and that she was still angry at Anakin for turning to the dark side. It was a very efficient storytelling tool, and the world between worlds was probably the most natural way to revisit so many different things that Ahsoka was built on.

“The World Between Worlds” could be the perfect way to introduce Star Wars to new viewers while still sticking to established lore, just like “Ahsoka” did.


The World Between Worlds was in many ways the best of both worlds. It was a kind of homage to the history of star Warsbut it also gave the franchise a chance to find new fans without forcing them to watch seven seasons of television just to understand what was going on. In fact, the World Between Worlds could be a very important part of the future of star Wars. The World Between Worlds could be the perfect way to bring fun to new viewers star Wars and remains true to established tradition, just like in Ahsoka.
