8-year-old from St. Louis County missing

ST. LOUIS, Missouri (First Alert 4) – St. Louis County Police have issued a missing person report for an 8-year-old with epilepsy.

8-year-old King Evans, 5 feet tall, 85 pounds, with black hair, brown eyes and medium skin tone, was abducted from his grandmother’s home in the 3600 block of Heather Trails Drive around 10 a.m. Saturday.

According to police, Evans was kidnapped by his father, Jarrett Hawthorne, in his grandmother’s dark brown 2013 Nissan Juke. The car’s license plate number is CX3Z5D.

Hawthorne is described as a 30-year-old black man, 5’6″ tall, 130 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. Police say Hawthorne does not know how to administer Evans’ epilepsy medication.

According to police, Hawthorne was visiting Evans’ family, and after an argument, Hawthorne took the car and drove away with Evans.

Anyone who sees Evans or Hawthorne or the vehicle is asked to call 911 or St. Louis County Police at 636-529-8210.
