It may still be August and 90 degrees outside, but many of us are ready for the spooky season. Halloween is still 68 days away, but Devin Booker’s signature Nike sneakers have already appeared in a spooky colorway.

First reported by Sole RetrieverThe Nike Book 1 is coming in a Halloween colorway. Bleacher Report reposted the images and Booker revealed the names of the spooky sneakers in the comments section.

Booker commented, “Nightmare before Christmas.” Whether the colorway is called “Halloween” or “Nightmare Before Christmas,” the inspiration is clear. The kicks are inspired by Tim Burton’s 1993 animated film.

Below, you’ll find Bleacher Report’s Instagram post with Booker’s commentary (and some hilarious responses), plus we explain everything athletes and fans need to know about the incredibly stylish Halloween sneakers.

The Nike Book 1 “Halloween” is set to release on Wednesday, October 30. Online shoppers can purchase the sneakers in adult sizes for $140 on Nike’s website and at select retailers.

Currently, online shoppers can choose between two colorways of the Nike Book 1 on Nike’s website, with many more styles expected to be added in the coming months.

The “Halloween” colorway features a black upper contrasted by a white embroidered Swoosh logo in the style of Jack Skellington. The midsole and outsole are white, and orange Nike and Book branding pop in orange from the tongue.

The sneaker community has been critical of Booker’s debut basketball shoe. Everything from the marketing to the limited run to the colorways have been criticized by fans.

However, this spooky colorway is tough and one of the best general releases to date. NBA fans are still hoping the Phoenix Suns guard can turn things around with his first signature sneaker. The Nike Book 1 has a rare appeal off the court, but it just takes the colorway to make that happen.

The NBA season is just around the corner and we are confident that Booker will improve his sneaker game on and off the court. Stay tuned Kicks on SI for all your shoe news from the NBA and the rest of the sports world.
