Sarpy County authorities are asking for help identifying suspects in an assault and robbery case

OMAHA, Nebraska (WOWT) – The Sarpy County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help in identifying two suspects in an assault and robbery case, it said in a news release Saturday.

According to the press release, the two victims, a 24-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman, were driving along 168th Street near Giles Road when a car, described as a dark sedan, stopped in the lane in front of them.

When the male victim got out of the car to see if anything was wrong, two men jumped out of the sedan and attacked him. The female passenger then got out of the vehicle and was also attacked.

Both victims were knocked to the ground, and someone had gotten into the victim’s car and driven away. A passerby then called 911.

Both victims refused offered medical treatment.

The stolen vehicle was found shortly after the incident near Timberlane Drive.

The Sarpy County Sheriff’s Office is asking all residents of Timberlane Drive to help check home surveillance systems or video doorbells to see if there is any helpful footage.
