Another day, another missed flight incident at Miami International Airport, where a man threw a tantrum because he was late for his flight to Madrid.
“I am nice. I am a teacher. I am a wonderful person” – Missed flight leads to hilarious nervous breakdown in Miami
From the video below, it appears that the man narrowly missed his Air Europa flight from Miami (MIA) to Madrid (MAD). Flights close 15 minutes before departure, meaning you must be on board before that time or risk losing your seat. Based on the empty gate area, it appears that the man was late and his flight had already closed (you can hear the passenger list being printed on a dot matrix printer…).
It’s a pretty funny exchange, but what upsets me the most is that the passenger is crying like my four-year-old daughter. I call it the fake crying… you can listen to him whine after being told he’s late for his flight and then immediately come back to himself. There are no tears… I just laugh when my daughter cries, but she’s only four…
And you have to love Tesha. This poor guy seems to have thought that if he raised his voice and got the gate agents’ names, he could get on the flight and threatened to call 911…
Tesha is only too happy to spell her name for him… T – E – S – H – A
And I love his answer:
“I like your hair, I don’t need your name.”
He goes to Jasmine, Tesha’s colleague, and asks her to speak to his husband, who is on the phone. He claims he has to go to his mother. But Jasmine refuses to answer the phone. His answer:
I am nice. I am a teacher. I am a wonderful person.
The gate agent still refuses…
He then blames the gate agent’s refusal to speak to his wife on jealousy.
As he walks away, he starts taking photos and videos. As he takes a picture of Tesha, she says, “Wait, take a photo of my beautiful side!”
Finally, he is informed that a rebooking is possible at D37.
He shouts back: “I don’t need your advice,” and storms off angrily…
Just one more night in Miami.
