The upcoming wizard sports game, Harry Potter: Quidditch Masteris based on the fantastical wizarding world of the franchise and players can join a Quidditch match using their own avatar or as a legacy character such as Harry Potter, Draco Malfoy or Ron Weasley. Players can play as a Chaser, Keeper, Beater or Seeker on maps such as the Burrow, Quidditch World Cup or Hogwarts Arena. With a focus on character customization, Quidditch Champion feels ripe for monetization of live services.

Quidditch Champion itself is a bit strange and fills the gap left by the cancellation of Quidditch in Hogwarts Legacybut adapts the magical sport into a three-on-three competition. The fictional sport is usually played by teams of seven, but in Quidditch ChampionPlayers will seemingly be in charge of two competitors at once, with the one not being actively controlled being taken over by the game’s bots. Regardless, players will have a wealth of cosmetic options available to them throughout the game to customize their unique avatar.

The FAQ states in advance Harry Potter: Quidditch Master let that goThere are no plans to integrate microtransactions into the game.Hogwarts Legacy was also released under WB’s Portkey Games label and also did not include microtransactions. So it is not too surprising that Harry Potter: Quidditch Master also foregoes it despite its inclination towards multiplayer mode.

The standard version of the game costs $29.99, while the Deluxe Edition costs $39.99. While there is confirmation that no microtransactions will be added to the game, There are plenty of bonus items for pre-order and Deluxe Edition players to unlock before the games even begin. The Harry Potter: Quidditch Master Deluxe Edition includes packs for Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, Slytherin, and Gryffindor houses—a themed broom skin, school uniform, and house crest for each house—and 2,000 gold to spend on in-game items.

In addition to the Deluxe Edition, there is the pre-order bonus, a Firebolt broomskin, just like the one Harry received in his third year at Hogwarts. For players who have purchased Hogwarts Legacy and has linked it to a WB Games account, there is a special Legacy Pack that includes a Sebastian Sallow hero skin and wand, as well as a Moontrimmer broom skin, Ancient Magic emblem, and Ancient Magic celebration.

The base price of Harry Potter: Quidditch Master isn’t the only price console players have to pay for the full experience, as playing in the online modes requires a PlayStation Plus membership, Game Pass Core membership, or Nintendo Switch Online subscription. However, the single-player offline mode doesn’t require an online subscription.
