Slipknot star Sid Wilson in hospital after “severe burns” – girlfriend Kelly Osbourne warns

Slipknot’s Sid Wilson was hospitalized after suffering “severe burns” after being caught in a campfire “explosion” on his farm.

The 47-year-old posted a video on social media from his hospital bed, assuring his fans that he was OK despite the serious injuries he sustained.

In a video on Instagram, he appeared in a hospital bed while injuries to his arms and face were treated.

He said: “Hi everyone, I had an explosion in my face. I’m fine, I’ll be fine. But I had some serious burns on my face and arms.

“I’ll be fine, guys. I don’t care what it costs, see you on tour.”

Although he was seriously injured in the explosion, heavy metal band Slipknot said they were still expecting him to perform at their Rocklahoma festival in Oklahoma next weekend.

The band said: “Our brother Sid Wilson had an accident today and suffered burns all over his body.

“He is recovering with his family and will still be on stage with us at Rocklahoma next weekend.

“He thanks everyone for the good wishes and we will all see each other soon.”

Also lying at Wilson’s bedside is his girlfriend Kelly Osbourne, the daughter of Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne.

She released her own video warning people not to suffer the same accident as Wilson.

She said: “That’s why you don’t mess with burn piles. He literally set himself on fire and made everything explode.”

Osbourne also shared a video of the couple’s son, Sidney, born in 2022, playing next to his father’s bed in the hospital.

Wilson told his fans that he would be transferred to a special facility, but that his fans should not worry as he is doing “pretty well” and is in “good hands”.

The Slipknot record player explained that he would undergo a chest X-ray to make sure he had not inhaled flames from the fire that singed his eyebrows and moustache while also causing blisters on his mouth and arms.

He told his fans that he suffered the burns from the remains of a campfire that had burned on his farm the night before.

Slipknot is planning a world tour for next month. Before the band heads to Europe, they will play dates in the US and South America.

They will be coming to the UK in December and their first show is planned for Leeds.
