Kelly Osbourne and her boyfriend Sid Wilson were taken to hospital on Friday after he suffered “severe burns” in a fire on their family farm.
The 47-year-old Slipknot musician shared a video of his treatment on Instagram, revealing the extent of his injuries, which included blisters and inflamed skin on his arms, chest and lips.
Speaking to the camera from his hospital bed, Sid said: “Hi everyone, I had an explosion in my face. I’m OK, I’m going to be OK, but I have some serious burns on my face and arms.”
Sid also stated that he would get an x-ray to make sure he hadn’t “inhaled any flames.”
Listing his injuries, he added: “I’m singed all over. My eyebrows are singed. My mouth is blistered. My arms are pretty bad. Both arms.”
Kelly also took to Instagram to shed light on the incident, saying, “This is why you don’t (expletive) with burn piles.”
She appeared to look at her partner in frustration and added: “He literally set himself on fire and blew everything up.”
She shared another video of herself sitting on a chair in despair, placing her fingers on her forehead and shaking her head.
Kelly then panned the camera to show her son Sidney playing with toys on the floor before filming Sid lying in the hospital bed wrapped in bandages, scrolling on his phone.
“I am at a loss for words,” she wrote under the video.
Sid was taken to another hospital and shared an update on his condition with his fans, assuring them that he is “doing well at the moment.”
Sid described the accident, which occurred while lighting a pyre on his and Kelly’s farm, as follows: “To everyone out there, be careful when handling fire.”
“This is something I’ve dealt with countless times, and of course I’ve changed my mind and said, ‘Oh, it’ll work out…'”
He added: “Thank you all for the get well wishes. Don’t worry about me, I’m fine. I’m going to be fine. Take care of yourselves, guys, and I’ll take better care of myself. See you soon.”
Sid also confirmed that his injuries will not prevent him from returning to Slipknot’s “Here Comes the Pain” tour, which continues on September 1 at Rocklahoma in Pryor, Oklahoma.
“I’ll be fine and I don’t care what it costs. See you on tour,” he explained.
Slipknot also released a statement saying: “Our brother Sid Wilson had an accident today and suffered burns all over his body.
“He is recovering with his family and will still be on stage with us at Rocklahoma next weekend. He thanks everyone for their good wishes and we’ll see you all soon.”
