See British Airways’ new and old cabins as part of a billion modernization

  • British Airways is modernizing its short-haul cabins as part of a huge investment.
  • I flew on one of the older A320s and then visited a brand new A320neo at the Farnborough Airshow.
  • The new color scheme is sleek and modern while enhancing the passenger experience.

British Airways is investing nine billion dollars to restore its reputation after years of losing popularity.

When the two-year program was announced at a press conference in March, the most noticeable change was new seats for the short-haul aircraft.

I flew on one of the older A320s in May so could imagine the upgrade. Then at the Farnborough Airshow I had the chance to see one of BA’s brand new A320neo jets on board.

I was impressed by how modern it looks with its sleek navy and red color scheme. The USB-C ports mounted on the seat backs are also much more convenient than the old arrangement.

This is what British Airways’ old and new short-haul cabins look like.
