Pan Pacific Junior Championships 2024

Here it is: the final session of the Junior Pan Pacs 2024 in Canberra, Australia. Tonight’s final session has a lot on the agenda. Here’s tonight’s schedule.

Before we begin previewing this evening’s preliminary round session, let’s first look at what the team results look like in the first three days of competition:

As the results show, the USA are clearly in the lead, but second place is still up for grabs today. Australia is currently in second place, but the gap between them and Canada in fourth place is only 13 points.

American Lilla Bognar will look to complete her win in the girls IMs tonight. The first race of the evening is the girls 200m IM, where Bognar will be top of the seedings after her time of 2:13.28 this morning.

15-year-old American Rylee Erisman led the heats of the girls’ 50m freestyle this morning with a time of 24.99. 18-year-old Australian Milla Jansen ran 25.00 this morning, setting the stage for another great race between her and Erisman this evening.

17-year-old Australian Joshua Conias led the boys’ 50m freestyle heats by a wide margin this morning, swimming a time of 22.69. Conias maintains his personal best of 22.35 and has a good chance of making the final tonight.
