Why is this important? The plot of Life is strange: double exposure revolves around Max Caufield, now the house photographer at Caledon University, who finds her new best friend Safi dead in the snow – murdered.

In a newly released video from Square Enix, developer Deck Nine offers a deep dive into Max Caufield’s new ability to switch between two parallel timelines. Additionally, the video focuses on her new Pulse ability. As described by the developer:
Pulse allows Max to peek into the other timeline before jumping through, as the danger isn’t limited to just one timeline. Pulse also allows Max to eavesdrop on conversations on the other side, which is the perfect supernatural tool for an amateur detective.

Max must switch between two increasingly difficult timelines as the player uses these powers to solve unique puzzles, navigate the complex social dynamics of the campus, and explore all of Caledon University’s secrets.
