Blake Lively recently revealed how she celebrated her son Olin’s first birthday in a fun and unusual way. The 36-year-old actress, who is known for her passion for baking, spoke about the special cake she created for the occasion in an interview with ‘Zoe Ball and Friends’ on BBC Radio 2. Blake Lively, wife of actor Ryan Reynolds, revealed that she baked a unique ‘breast cake’ for her youngest child to commemorate the occasion.
According to Blake Lively, “my birthday cakes always have a sense of humor,” the Aug. 16 Instagram post containing the interview read. She continued, “For my baby, I just made a giant row of t—,” referring to her son. The “It Ends with Us” star then joked about the potential long-term effects of her creation, saying, “I have a feeling these are going to haunt him for life.” But what do they want all of a sudden? He can’t express his desires. So boobs!”
The big reveal of the cake
Blake Lively offered to show the team and host Zoe Ball a picture of the cake as the conversation continued and they engaged in lively banter. Smiling, Blake Lively added, “I’ll show you a picture later, they’re really impressive,” and then clarified, “Of the cake, not mine… But also amazing.” As she prepared to leave, the actress excitedly told the crew, “The cake is incredible, you guys have to see it! Everyone has to see the cake.”
After their wedding in 2012, Blake Lively and Reynolds had four daughters: Betty, age 4, James, age 9, and Inez, age 7. In February 2023, Olin, their youngest child, was born.
Ryan Reynolds reveals family details
The couple, known for keeping family matters private, recently revealed a little more information about their newest addition. Reynolds, 47, revealed Olin’s gender on Instagram in July after a tearful conversation with Wrexham AFC fan John Bell. In a touching message, Reynolds wrote: “I want to share with you that I too have a son and I feel like I did a damn good job if… boy John if I love him even a tenth as much as you love Jake.”
Reynolds revealed Olin’s identity in early July during a speech at the New York premiere of Deadpool & Wolverine at the David H. Koch Theater. In addition to expressing his affection for his family by naming each of his children individually, he also said, “I love that my whole family is here.”
Reynolds revealed in a 2022 interview on the Today show that the couple will not find out the sex of their babies until after they are born, although they usually keep family matters private. Blake Lively was expecting Olin at the time.
