Fifteen-year-old American Rylee Erisman has one more chance to impress us as she enters the girls’ 50m freestyle as the top seed. Erisman’s seeded time of 24.62 is under the meet record of 24.74 that stood since 2010. Erisman broke the meet record in the 100m freestyle a few days ago, so we’ll see what she can do in the 50m swim today.

Japan has a strong duo in the boys’ 200m individual medley. Riki Abe is the top seed, entering the meet with a time of 1:59.26. Teammate Asaki Nishikawa is the second seed, entering the meet with a time of 1:59.60. They are the only swimmers in the field seeded under 2:00. The meet record is 1:59.01, so that mark could play a role as well.

American 18-year-old Lilla Bognar, champion in the girls’ 400m individual medley, is the top seed in the girls’ 200m individual medley this morning. She will have her work cut out for her, however, as her seeded time of 2:12.33 is one of three sub-2:13 times.

American 15-year-old Luka Mijatovic, who won the boys’ 400 freestyle last night, will race his final race of the meet this morning. Mijatovic is swimming the boys’ 1500 freestyle, but is the third fastest American, so he will compete in the early heats this morning. Mijatovic has lost time in all of his events this meet, so we’ll see what he can do in the mile this morning.
