Sabrina Carpenter admits to having been “a tyrant in life”

Sabrina Carpenter is “lucky” that no one tries to tell her what to do.
The 25-year-old pop star loves writing her own songs, and at this stage of her career, Sabrina is not exactly open to outside input.
The blonde beauty, who has just released her new album “Short n’ Sweet”, told British newspaper The Guardian: “I’m very lucky that I don’t have people around me telling me what to do. And I’m a Taurus. If they did, I’d probably get a little stubborn.”
When asked if she was a bully in the studio, Sabrina replied: “I am a bully in life.”
Sabrina is determined to be open and honest when writing songs. But the singer of “Espresso” is aware of the potential pitfalls.
On the impact of living in the age of social media, Sabrina said, “It’s not what I chose, but I can’t really do anything about it when I was born.”
“I want to be honest – I just want to write about what’s happening in my life as a 25-year-old girl. But that’s part of it and I just have to say… OK!”
Riding the wave of success of “Espresso”, the first single from her sixth album “Short’n’Sweet”, Sabrina is now considered one of the biggest pop stars of 2024 – a decade after the release of her first single.
She added to The Guardian: “Full transparency: I’ve never really been in the charts until recently, so it’s a new discovery, like… I’m interested.”
“That’s not why I write music, and that’s not why I’ll ever write music. It’s like the sprinkles on the sundae.”
Sabrina grew up in a small town in Pennsylvania and began her career as a child actress at the age of eleven with a role in “Girl Meets World” before signing a contract with Disney’s Hollywood Records.
She added that even at a young age, she had “no plan B mentality” when it came to her show career.
